Tri Hita Karana, or the Three Causes of Well-Being is the Balinese concept of harmony and balance between people and God, one another and the environment. The main criteria used also follows the Balinese and Hindu philosophy and the three values of cultural and spiritual (parhyangan), social values (pawongan) and the environment (palemahan).

There are several areas which were closely scrutinized by the judges in determining nominees and winners. These include community service, tourism, public relations, guests and employee satisfaction, safety and security and other cultural criteria and the Tri Hita Karana Team.

“This is very much in line with the Hard Rock mantra of ‘Love All Serve All’”, said Mr Jamal Hussain, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Bali.

Hard Rock Hotel Bali is proud to present a new look for its Cabana Club Poolside Restaurant after two months’ of refurbishment. The outlet now re-opened with a more spacious feel and an impressive view of the pool and activities.

Guests can now dine al fresco at the restaurant which serves Mediterranean cuisine such as wood-fired pizza, rockin’ pastas, and sip exotic cocktails while enjoying the various activities happening by the pool.

Hard Rock Hotel Bali to Refurbish 142 Guest Rooms and Gamelan Restaurant

We are pleased to inform that as part of our on-going effort to provide our guests with the best comfort and excellent service, Hard Rock Hotel Bali will be refurbishing 142 of its guest’s rooms and corridors. The project will be isolated to only one section of the hotel at any one time and does not involve any demolition or construction.

From 10 Jan to 26 Jun 2006:
The project essentially consists of laying new tiles over the existing terrazzo floor. The only minor intermittent noise is the cutting of tiles and that will be contained between 10am and 12noon and between 2pm and 4.30pm, when majority of guests will not be their rooms.

From 9 Jan to 10 March 2006:
Gamelan, the breakfast and all-day dining restaurant will also undergo an upgrading of its facilities, with a new floor, buffet and kitchen counters. Intermittent noise from the cutting of tiles here will be limited between 2.30pm and 6.00pm. Breakfast service will carry on uninterrupted and will be served in the outside dining area as well as at the nearby “Sunset Point” when necessary.

Please rest assured that guests’ comfort and security are utmost in our minds and will not be compromised. We look forward to your continued support during the refurbishment and we welcome all guests to a site inspection of the works being carried out and the newly-renovated rooms. Casa Del Mar Gets Rave Reviews

This “home by the sea” is more than just a nice hotel. In fact, to many people, it’s like coming “home” to a place where people know you by your first name from one year to the next, and where guests remember the employees’ names, too …

Casa Del Mar has always been a place of warm welcome … just ask any guests who has ever stayed there … and especially those who keep going back for more …

On the hotel’s website, Gary and Cindy Wood from Singapore posted: “This is our 5th visit to CDM, and again, I would like to thank Susan, Peter and all the staff for making our stay just perfect! The food, service, and above all the warm reception just keep bringing you back. The renovations have been completed, and look just great. Thanks again, for making our stay just wonderful! See you early next year! PS. Chloe is already missing the beach, pool and the cats!”

The success of the hotel’s hospitality lies in the relationship between the guests and its staff, who embrace the attitude of wanting to do something extra for their guests and ensuring that they enjoy their stay and want to return.

And this concept does seem to work well, judging from the many warm reviews posted on Casa Del Mar’s website.

Angela and John Owen from England posted: “This was one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The staff at Casa Del Mar couldn't do enough for you! We met some wonderful people and can’t wait to go back. This place is very badly missed and nowhere could compare.”

Another posting by Dehan Ingrao, France, says: “Magnificent stay in a hotel of charm and human size with a staff of a big competence.”

There is certainly no doubt that the people who run this hotel make a big difference and their attention to the smallest details goes beyond expectations.

The boutique resort, being small in scale and with only 33 rooms, has fewer public places than the bigger hotels. As such, it is inclined to be intimate as the staff know who their guests are, creating a feeling of personal connection. Also, as the hotel tends not to have big groups, the privacy and tranquillity is maintained.

In a bid to exceed customers' expectations, the hotel’s team makes an extra effort to understand their guests, through interaction and listening to what they say and attending to special requests. And their efforts are certainly not wasted.
